A minimally invasive lumbar decompression, mild, involves the removal of overgrown bone and ligament from the lower spine.

For those who've undergone injections and conservative therapies without success, Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression can provide long-lasting relief. During the procedure, a small device is placed down the spine to reduce the pressure of nerves being crowded by lumbar spinal stenosis.

A mild can take about an hour to complete. Relief can kick in immediately, offering patients the ability to stand longer and walk more comfortably. For some, it can take some weeks for the benefits to present. Common side effects are minimal to none, though some report soreness and discomfort for approximately a week after surgery.
