Intracept procedure

This minimally invasive, outpatient procedure is ideal for patients suffering from vertebrogenic pain.

 

Intracept uses heat from radiofrequency energy, transmitted through a tiny probe, to deaden ("ablate") the offending nerve. This kills the pain signal before it can be transmitted to the brain.

 

The entire procedure takes roughly an hour to complete, after which patients can go home for a light recovery. Studies show that patients reported relief roughly two to four weeks after the Intracept procedure was performed.

An added attribute of the Intracept procedure is that it doesn't require an implant.
